DBT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Commonly known as DBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a cognitive-behavioral therapy that was developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. The DBT Program involves individual therapy, and in many cases adjunctive group therapy, or classes depending on the level of dysfunction in daily living. DBT is focused on building life skills, such as self-regulation and interpersonal effectiveness and is a very effective treatment for anyone suffering from chronic or severe emotional dysregulation. Currently, it is also being used successfully with individuals diagnosed with Anxiety Disorders, Depression and Substance Abuse.

I recently completed the DBT Intensive Training and I meet bi-monthly with an Intensively Trainined DBT Consultation Team.
